About me
I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, registered with and working to the professional standards of the BACP. Being integrative means that I am client led and can draw on a range of different approaches that can be tailored to the unique needs of each client’s. I work with a broad range of emotional and psychological issues, including working extensively in the area of loss and bereavement, relational issues and anxiety related issues.
I work with individuals, couples and intimate partners. I work with a diverse group of people from a range of ages, genders, sexual identities, races and cultural backgrounds. I am fully insured and have an advanced DBS.
I work collaboratively with clients, working together as a team to uncover, explore and begin to address any issues that they might be experiencing now and those that might stem from past experiences. I work in a relational way, using the relationship between client and therapist to explore and test out how we interact and respond.
My approach is rooted in the belief that we all have capacity for growth, and that insight and self-awareness are the starting points for meaningful change. With a focus on compassion, acceptance and understanding, I aim to offer a space where people’s unique lived experiences are respected; somewhere to talk freely and openly about anything they need to. One of the essential things for me is that people I am working with feel safe, listened to and that what they are experiencing is important and matters to me.
My approach
