How I can help

Many reasons might bring a person to therapy. People might look for support in response to things that are going on in their life now, or long-term issues that may arise from past experiences or relationships. Often people may feel stuck – in a certain place in their lives, or in patterns of behaviour that have a negative impact on them.

People may approach me seeking out therapy for some of the following reasons:

  • Anxiety, stress and overwhelming worries

  • Trauma and abuse

  • Identity, including sexual identity, and sense of belonging

  • Work related issues

  • Feelings of anger and frustration

  • Depression, sadness and low moods

  • Problems in relationships – family, romantic, work related

  • Loss; including bereavement and grief

  • Self-esteem, lack of confidence or issues around self-worth or body image

  • Suicidal thoughts, self-harm and OCD
